I’ve spoken at my share of meetings and conventions throughout my career — including, this year, at CSPI’s Annual Conference and ASAE’s Marketing, Membership & Communications Conference. But my next gig is quite different, because it’s so close to home, and it’s a collaboration with one of my favorite people. At the end of October, I’ll be participating in the second Convene Forum — our magazine’s still-new annual hosted-buyer event that interweaves one-on-one appointments with educational programming powered by our articles and editors and by our general sensibility. For my part, I get to interview my pal Kelly Peacy, CAE, CMP, PCMA’s senior vice president of education and meetings, about Convening Leaders, the PCMA annual meeting that she and her team seem to blow up and rebuild, bigger and better and cooler, every year.
And that’s just one of the many great sessions we’re in the process of developing, along with fun and fabulous networking opportunities and social events. All that, and a beautiful venue — the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville. If you’re interested in attending, the official dates are Oct. 28-31. Registration is about to go live, so check here in the coming days and weeks. Hope to see you there!
